Oracle Database Appliance is an easy-to-manage, optimized database software and hardware suite that is easy to deploy and use. By integrating hardware and software, ODA eliminates the complexities of non-integrated, manually assembled solutions. Oracle Database Appliance reduces software installation and deployment time from weeks or months to hours, while preventing configuration and setup errors that are often the root causes of a non-optimized and difficult to manage database environment.
The new Oracle Database Appliance 19.22 software release supports Oracle Database 19c functionality on Oracle Database Appliance hardware models.
This release is supported on the following ODA models: X10-HA, X10-L, X10-S, X9-2-HA, X9-2L, X9-2S, X8-2-HA, X8-2M, X8-2S, X7-2-HA, X7-2M, and X7-2S. It is designed to be installed on new Oracle Database Appliance hardware or to patch or update software on an existing ODA complex to version 19.22. It is also possible to create, patch, or upgrade Oracle Database Appliance database systems.

It is important to note that ODA X10 now supports Oracle Database Standard Edition 2 (release 19.20.0.1 and later).
We also recommend that you familiarize yourself with Oracle Database licensing on ODA https://docs.oracle.com/…/oracle-database-appliance…
Oracle Databases Appliance’s on-demand capacity licensing feature allows you to change the number of enabled cores as your system resource requirements change.
